The ROI report: what it shows and how to use it
Understand your return on investment, adjust the assumptions and test what-if scenarios.
The Return on Investment report estimates the revenue impact of InputKit compared with what you have spent on it, from your launch date until today.
Open the report
In the left-hand menu, open Summaries, then Return on Investment.
The report is shown to administrators once your return reaches at least 3 times what you invested. If you can't see it, that is the reason.
What the page shows
Your ROI. The main card shows the ROI multiple with Invested and Returned.
ROI = (revenue impact of experience management + revenue impact of Google reviews) / total amount spent.
Under it, the assumptions the calculation is based on: Customer lifetime value and Annual revenue, with a Default badge when you haven't set your own, and the Updated on date.
Experience Management. The revenue impact of managing dissatisfied customers: dissatisfied customers × 25% × customer lifetime value. You also see the customers saved, your survey activity (sendings, responses, response rate) and your discussion thread activity (company-wide).
Google Reviews. The revenue impact of a better Google rating: rating increase × annual revenue × 7% × years since launch. You also see the rating lift since launch, weekly review volume, fewer bad reviews (1-2 stars), reviews since launch, and your Google Business Profile traffic (views, website clicks, calls, directions...).
What your data shows. Up to four AI insights about your numbers, refreshed weekly. This requires the AI Assistant add-on.
There is no date selector: everything is calculated since your launch date.
Adjust your assumptions
Click Modify.
In Calculation settings, enter your Customer lifetime value ($) and Total annual revenue ($), both above 0.
Click Apply. The ROI and the projections update when the new calculation finishes (Calculating your ROI). Reset restores the defaults.
You need permission to edit company settings to save.
Test a scenario
The what-if simulator lets you move three sliders and see the ROI recalculated live:
Sending response rate;
Dissatisfied customers saved;
Target Google rating.
You see the Simulated ROI, the Simulated return and the Gap vs today. Click Reset to go back. The simulation never changes your real report.
Projections
Choose 12 months or 3 years to see the Cumulative return, Cumulative investment and Cumulative ROI. It continues your current monthly rhythm since launch.
