How to connect Zoho Books to InputKit

The Zoho Books integration automatically sends a sequence when an invoice is sent or paid, or when an estimate is sent. You don't need to configure anything in Zoho Books: InputKit creates the webhooks and workflow rules it needs itself.

Connect Zoho Books

1. Click your name in the top-right corner, then Integrations, and select Zoho Books.

2. Click Connect Zoho Books.

3. Sign in to Zoho and allow access. The usual Zoho data centers are supported (.com, .eu, .in, .com.au, .jp, .ca, .sa, .uk).

4. If your Zoho account has several organizations, pick the one to use under Choose an organization, then click Continue. If there is only one, it is selected automatically.

5. The message Zoho Books is connected appears.

Create a trigger

1. Under Survey triggers, click Add a trigger.

2. In step 1, choose:

   • When: Invoice sent, Invoice paid or Estimate sent (the type can't be changed after creation);

   • the Sequence and the Default location;

   • the Send scheduling: Fixed delay (in minutes) or By date (a reference date field, a number of days, before or after that date).

3. In step 2, map the Zoho Books fields (invoice, estimate, contact) to InputKit information: email, phone, first name, last name, language, services, employees, location, monetary value or custom fields. Several mappings are suggested by default (email, phone, contact name, salesperson as employee).

4. In step 3, add optional filters.

5. Save. If Zoho Books refuses to create the workflow, a message tells you and the trigger is not saved.

Good to know

• Partially paid invoices are ignored.

• The location is the mapped one, otherwise the trigger's default location, otherwise the first active location.

• If the contact has neither an email nor a phone number, no sending is created.

• The flask button puts a trigger in test mode.

Disconnect

Click Disconnect and confirm. The triggers and webhooks for that organization are removed.
